Privacy policy
What you share, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Who this policy covers
This policy describes Steady by Deanxious at deanxious.com and steady.deanxious.com. Steady is operated by Deanxious LLC, PO Box 33057, Portland, OR 97292, United States. Contact the team using the address below.
Steady is a membership for education and peer support. Information you share about worry, symptoms or wellbeing may be sensitive even though Steady does not provide healthcare. You do not need to submit a medical history to join.
Information we collect and why
Account information includes your email address, display name, timezone, profile choices, notification preferences and onboarding answers. We use it to sign you in, manage membership and arrange circle participation.
Membership activity includes posts, replies, reactions, bookmarks, blocks, reports, session bookings, learning progress and private plans. We use it to provide those features, remember your choices and protect the community. Expert requests include the provider or matching preference, jurisdiction, language, approach and consent you submit.
Support and moderation records include your requests, reported content, case actions and staff notes. We use them to investigate concerns, respond to requests, enforce community rules and maintain a record of decisions.
Billing records include subscription and transaction identifiers, plan, billing status and relevant payment events. Stripe handles payment details; the application does not store your full payment-card number or card security code.
Technical information may include IP addresses, browser or device details, access times, authentication events and error logs collected by hosting and service providers. It supports security, reliability and troubleshooting. Avoid including medical records or another person’s private information in posts or support requests.
Who can see your information
Community posts and replies are visible to the audience shown when you post. Circle discussions are visible to your circle and authorized staff. All-member discussions have a wider member audience. Your display name accompanies shared activity. Members must not copy discussions outside Steady, but we cannot guarantee that another person will follow that rule.
Personal plans, bookmarks and individual progress are not community posts. Other members cannot read your private plan, and moderator access does not include it. Authorized administrators and infrastructure providers may have technical access where needed to operate, secure or support the service; these records are not end-to-end encrypted.
Authorized staff can review reports and moderation records according to their role. Blocking helps control community interactions; it does not prevent authorized staff from reviewing a report or remove information someone has already seen.
Expert matching staff review the preferences you consent to share. Submitting a request does not automatically send your community posts or private plan to a therapist. If a further introduction requires sharing information with a provider, the team will explain that step and obtain the necessary permission. A provider’s own privacy policy applies to information you give them directly.
Service providers and other disclosures
The planned service uses Supabase for authentication, database and private storage, Stripe for payments, and an email provider for sign-in links and notifications. Vercel is the intended hosting provider. The final provider list and processing locations will be confirmed before launch. Providers receive information needed for their functions; some may also process information under their own policies and legal obligations.
We may disclose necessary information to comply with a valid legal requirement, investigate abuse or fraud, or protect a person’s safety. If the business changes ownership, any transfer of personal information must remain subject to applicable law and notice requirements.
The current application does not include advertising pixels or a workflow for selling member information. Any proposed advertising, additional analytics or materially different use of sensitive information requires a policy update and any consent required by law before it begins.
Cookies, email and session recordings
Sign-in uses cookies to keep your session working. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent membership features from functioning. Payment and infrastructure providers may also use technologies needed for authentication, fraud prevention and service delivery. No optional advertising or analytics cookies have been added to this application. Stripe’s payment form may load fonts from Google Fonts, which can receive technical request details such as your IP address.
You can change available notification preferences and quiet hours in settings. Essential account and billing messages may still be necessary. Notification emails are designed to link back to Steady rather than include private discussion or health details.
Members may not record sharing circles. Sharing circles are intended to be unrecorded. Educational workshops may have a separately announced recording; private member disclosures must be excluded. The meeting provider and recording procedure must be confirmed before sessions open.
Retention, security and your choices
Information is retained while needed to provide membership, resolve support or moderation matters, maintain security and meet legal or accounting obligations. Exact retention periods and backup deletion procedures are being finalized before launch. Canceling a subscription does not itself delete your account or its records.
You can request access, correction, a copy of your information or deletion using the contact below. Please write from your account email where possible. We may need to verify your identity. Rights, exceptions and response deadlines depend on applicable law; we will explain any limitation on a request. Contact support to make a privacy request.
Deleting account data may require separate handling of shared discussions, moderation evidence, billing records and backups. We will explain what can be removed, anonymized or retained when responding to a request. Do not assume that leaving a circle erases past contributions.
We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the service, but no internet service can promise absolute security. If you believe information has been exposed, contact support without sending additional sensitive records.
Age, location and policy changes
Steady is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
The business operates from the United States and service providers may process information in other locations. Regional privacy obligations and any required transfer safeguards will be reviewed before accepting members in additional jurisdictions.
The final policy will show an effective date. Later material changes will be communicated as required, and any new consent required by law will be obtained before the changed processing starts.
